למיטב ידיעתי allowSyntheticDefaultImports ו-esModuleInterop הם הדדיים ולא יכולים לפעול יחד. לא יודע אם זו הבעיה האמיתית, אפילו. גם הייתי מסיר את הבלוקים של include ו-exclude, במקרה הזה אני חושב שהם לא עושים כלום.

ודא פעמיים שאתה דורש את המודול בתיקיית dist.
